Costs

Membership at 42nd Bolton is usually, £12 per month paid 12 months a year via direct debit in OSM. Subs are paid for the year and not for the number of sessions attended.

Trips and events are usually extra, but we often try and fundraise to subsidies the cost and keep Scouting accessible.

There is a £13.50 donation for badges and neckerchief when a Scout is invested into the group (this is when they say their promise and officially join us), however, the Activity, Challenge and Stage badges are all covered by the subs.

Uniform can be bought from several places, either online or in school uniform shops, if you are out for a bargain you can keep an eye on ebay too. To come and try Scouting you do not need a uniform but to join us on trips and be invested into the group, you will need a uniform.

We want scouting to be accessible to everyone, so if costs are something that are a concern to you, then please speak to a leader about it as, the executive committee reserve the right to reduce fees on a case by case basis as per our governance policy.
